Poll stunner: These American blacks OK with violent attacks
Shocking study shows high number holding favorable views of al-Qaida

The most dangerous Muslims in America may be black converts to Islam, according to a shocking new poll by the Pew Research Center.

African-American Muslims tend to hold the most violent views among U.S. Muslims surveyed by Pew in a poll released this week.

Fully 28 percent of U.S.-born black Muslim respondents said "suicide bombings and other violence against civilians" can be justified sometimes or at least in rare cases. That compares with 9 percent of foreign-born Muslims who hold the same view.

Pew also found that 11 percent of black Muslims living in the U.S. have a favorable opinion of al-Qaida – more than double the share of U.S. Muslims overall who hold that view. Another 21 percent of black Muslims hold only mildly unfavorable views of the terrorist organization responsible for attacking America 10 years ago; while 56 percent of that segment of the Muslim population hold very unfavorable views.

A popular African-American imam has preached that Islamic law permits Muslims to attack U.S. military targets – including C-130 military transport planes carrying the 82nd Airborne out of Fort Bragg, N.C., according to the best-selling book, "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America."

The Muslim cleric, Zaid Shakir, a frequent guest speaker at Council on American-Islamic Relations events, tells his Muslim audiences: "Jihad is physically fighting the enemies of Islam to protect and advance the religion of Islam. This is jihad."

Acceptable targets of jihad, he says, include U.S. military aircraft.

A dangerous new level
The president is facing a growing terrorist threat
Sep 3rd 2011 ABUJA from the print edition

..A SUICIDE-BOMBING on August 26th at the headquarters of the UN in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, which left at least 23 people dead, has sharply raised the stakes in the conflict between the government and its terrorist opponents. It was the first suicide-bombing in Nigeria to target an international body. It has rattled foreign residents. And it has made people question whether President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has a convincing plan to stop such attacks.

The prime suspect is Boko Haram, an extremist Muslim group whose name means “Western education is sinful”. One of its spokesmen told foreign journalists that the action had been carried out to avenge the humiliating treatment of its members by Nigeria’s army and police. Although reluctant to admit to an embarrassing failure of security, Nigerian officials have blamed the sect.

The attack marks a big leap in Boko Haram’s ambitions and suggests it may now be colluding with other more established groups, including al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), which made a similar attack on UN offices in Algeria four years ago. The Nigerian secret police say that a member of Boko Haram recently came back from Somalia to oversee the attack.

Most of the sect’s activities have hitherto been confined to the dusty north-east of Africa’s most populous nation, on the fringe of the Sahara desert. But in recent months it has expanded beyond its home ground. The latest bombing is the second in the capital since June, when the chief of police narrowly avoided being blown up in his headquarters.

In July Mr Jonathan set up a committee to look into the turmoil in the north-east, Boko Haram’s base. But it has been slow to report. Unless the president soon presents a plan of action, Nigerians and foreign investors may lose confidence in his government’s ability to deal with the problem.

It is hard to gauge the extent of Boko Haram’s following. It has no clear structure or evident chain of command. Poverty in the area has helped drive young men into the arms of radical Islam. Fervent religious extremism has encouraged people to assail the government. The security services’ heavy-handed tactics in trying to quash the violence with random arrests, killings and disappearances have fuelled the discontent. Counter-insurgency experts are urging them to be less bellicose.

Al-Qaida not the only U.S. enemy

Nearly 10 years after the 9/11 attacks, many politicians, diplomats, journalists and academics remain reluctant even to name America's enemies.

To take but one example: John Brennan, head of the White House homeland security office, has argued that America is only "at war with al-Qaida" and its closest affiliates.

I understand the impulse to frame the conflict as narrowly as possible. Brennan and others do not want to reinforce al-Qaida's message that Muslims from Afghanistan to Iraq to Israel to Paris to Detroit must choose between the umma, the global Islamic community, and the West - to fight for one and against the other.

But can we not say - truthfully and without playing into al-Qaida's hands - that there are regimes and groups within the Muslim world that are implacably hostile to the West? Can we not say that they subscribe to a belief system called Jihadism? The late Father Richard John Neuhaus defined Jihadism as a religiously inspired ideology built on the teaching "that it is the moral obligation of all Muslims to employ whatever means necessary in order to compel the world's submission to Islam."

Spanish Town Becoming "New Mecca of the Most Radical Islamism"
by Soeren Kern
September 1, 2011 at 5:00 am
The municipality of Salt, a town near Barcelona where Muslim immigrants now make up 40% of the population, has approved a one-year ban on the construction of new mosques. It is the first ban of its kind in Spain.

The moratorium follows public outrage over plans to build a massive Salafi mosque that is being financed by Saudi Arabia. Salafism is a branch of revivalist Islam that calls for restoring past Muslim glory by forcibly re-establishing an Islamic empire (Caliphate) across the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Europe such as Spain, which Salafists view as a Muslim state that must be reconquered for Islam.

Radical Islam’s plan for world domination

Radical Islam’s plan for world domination

Radical Islam’s plan for world domination

BY ED VITAGLIANO - AFA Journal, April 2008

In January 2002, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped by Muslim radicals in Pakistan. Radical Islam PlanA few days later, the 38-year-old journalist was beheaded.

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece in January 2008, Judea Pearl, a UCLA computer science professor and the father of Daniel, noted the implacable nature of such Muslim radicals. Pearl said, “The shocking element in Danny’s murder was that he was killed, not for what he wrote or planned to write, but for what he represented – America, modernity, openness, pluralism, curiosity, dialogue, fairness, objectivity, freedom of inquiry, truth and respect for all people.”

Across the globe Islam appears to be mutating into a more virulent and aggressive strain, confronting the West with a radical ideology that is demanding submission to Allah – or else.

Dominance in stages

Historian Daniel Pipes, an author, columnist and founder of the Middle East Forum (
www.meforum.org), believes that the radical Islam facing the West today arose in the last century.

“In the course of the 20th century, a new form of Islam arose, one that now had great appeal and power,” he said. “Militant Islam (or Islamism – same thing) goes back to Egypt in the 1920s, when an organization called the Muslim Brethren [or Brotherhood] first emerged, though there are other strains as well, including an Iranian one, largely formulated by Ayatollah Khomeini, and a Saudi one, to which the Taliban in Afghanistan and Osama Bin Laden both belong.”

According to Clifford D. May, president of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a policy institute focusing on terrorism, “The Islamists stress that Islam ‘was once a winner’s religion.’” It began small and became a world power in less than 400 years. But for the last several hundred years, Muslim nations have been dominated by Western powers.

“What went wrong? To Islamists, it is an article of faith … that Muslims lost ground because they strayed from the road of righteousness, the path trod by the Prophet Muhammad and his companions,” May said. “They allowed themselves to be seduced and corrupted by the West and its vices – materialism, individualism, and lasciviousness among them.”

The only way to return Islam to world dominance is, well, for Islam to dominate the world again. According to Samir Khalil Samir, a Jesuit professor of Oriental studies at the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon, the Islamist plan involves three phases, which are all intended to work concurrently.

The first stage is to reform Muslim countries which have compromised with the West, to “turn Muslim countries into Islamic states governed by sharia [Islamic] law.”

Next, Samir said, is the intention to “Islamize Christians living in Muslim countries. This is happening wherever there are radical Muslims, in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iraq. … We saw this happen in Iraq in the past year, where some neighborhoods in Baghdad have become micro-caliphates in which Christians are told to convert to Islam or pay the Jizya (protection money), and accept second-class status.”

Finally comes “the conversion of Europe. … This is carried out first and foremost by working with young, European-born Muslims through imams teaching radical ideologies in mosques, prisons, bookstores.” Such teachings go hand-in-hand with strident critiques of decadent Western culture.

The Islamist ‘strong narrative’

This explanation of Islam’s troubles and the plan for its return to past glory is, according to May, the “strong narrative” that attracts new recruits to the cause. It is similar, he believes, to the “narrative” used by Adolph Hitler to gain support from the German people for his own goals. Just as Hitler blamed the Jews and others for the problems of the nation, so Islamists blame Jews and corrupt Western ideals for the problems of the Ummah, the worldwide Muslim community.

Part of the appeal of this movement for Muslims is that Islamofascists declare themselves to be the true heirs of the message of the Prophet Muhammad.

“Today jihadists are making recruits among peaceful Muslims worldwide by appealing to the teachings of the Quran and Muhammad, and on that basis portraying themselves as the exponents of ‘pure Islam,’” said Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch and author of Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn’t. “They claim they have rediscovered, as a popular jihadist pamphlet termed it, ‘the forgotten obligation’ of jihad.”

Jihad is an Arabic word meaning “struggle,” and can refer to either the internal struggle against unrighteousness or the external struggle against unbelievers – including “holy war.”

British jihadist Sheikh Abu Hamza al-Masri, currently in prison, summarized the goal of this holy war: “Allah is the only one that must be worshipped on Earth, and the only way to guarantee this is to control all the land masses, air, and sea and give Islam the proper channel to be heard by the people.”

Spencer said the West had better take note of what is happening throughout the Muslim world. “We fool ourselves when we imagine that the problem is a localized ‘Islamic fundamentalism,’ a ‘hijacking’ of an originally peaceful religion, such that the great majority of its adherents not only do not participate in religiously sanctioned violence, but also actively disapprove of it on grounds derived from the religion itself. In reality, active jihadists, while a minority among Muslims, base their actions in Islamic theology and are in the ascendancy throughout the Islamic world.”

Can the West defend itself?

Many in the West have misunderstood Islamist anger, believing that older theories about social unrest – often involving root causes such as poverty or alienation – hold the key to peace with Muslim radicals.

“From the ayatollahs to the freelance jihadists, there are, in the end, no ‘root causes’ – or not ones that can be negotiated by troop withdrawals from Iraq or the flag-raising ceremony for a Palestinian state,” said Mark Steyn in his book, America Alone: The End of the World As We Know It.

Time and again, radical Muslims make it clear that this holy war is not an attempt to correct social inequalities. For example, after jihadists blew up a French oil tanker off Yemen in 2002, Steyn insisted that France should have been the last nation to get hit, seeing as that country had pretty much opposed all aspects of the War on Terror.

But that wasn’t really the point. A spokesman for the Islamic Army of Aden said, “We would have preferred to hit a U.S. frigate, but no problem because they are all infidels.”

“No problem. They are all infidels,” Steyn repeated. “When people make certain statements and their acts conform to those statements I tend to take them at their word. As Hussein Massawi, former leader of Hezbollah, neatly put it, ‘We are not fighting so that you will offer us something. We are fighting to eliminate you.’”

The stakes are that high, said Steyn: “It is absurd: how can the most advanced society in human history fall to a bunch of ignorant death cultists? Well, who do you think advanced societies do fall to? Something worse, something barbarous, something that’s prepared to fight when you’re not.”

Farewell Israel

Farewell Israel: Bush, Iran and the Revolt of Islam – A fascinating and frightening look at the history, ideology and goals of Islam, Farewell Israel provides a fast-paced overview of the religion itself, its origin and explosion out of Arabia in A.D. 632 to conquer much of the known world in its first 1,000 years of existence.

Perhaps most controversial is the documentary’s assertion that the West, including Israel, has often failed to understand the true nature of Islam. According to the film, the challenge facing the West is not merely a radical form of Islam but the religion itself. Simply put, what the U.S. and other democracies are facing is a revival of true Islam, which had receded during the ascension of Western economic and military power during the last three centuries.

Filled with informative, state-of-the-art computer graphics and rare video footage, this two-and-a-half-hour film is a top-rate primer about Islam that is sure to be engaging for small gatherings, church groups and older schoolchildren.

Islam In America

Islam in America – This DVD, produced by Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino Hills, California, is taken from a speech given at the church by Brigitte Gabriel, a Lebanese immigrant who is now a U.S. citizen. Gabriel was forced to leave with her parents after militant Muslim fundamentalists occupied parts of the country during the Lebanese Civil War.

Gabriel’s impassioned speech is riveting and powerful, as she uses her own experiences to warn the West – and especially America – that Islamofascists will not stop until all nations submit to Islamic law.

The DVD provides a harrowing view of Muslim fundamentalism and a stark contrast between it and the very different worldview which underlies Western culture, including the nation of Israel.

Gabriel, who has spoken on this topic on CNN and Fox as well as in numerous public venues, founded Act for America (
www.actforamerica.org) as a vehicle for promoting the truth concerning Islamic fundamentalism. She has also written a book, Because They Hate, detailing her life’s story and her warning to the West.

The DVD can be ordered directly from the church’s Web site, www.calvarycch.org, or by phone at 909-393-7100.

Islam’s Global Army

Islam’s Global Army
by W. Thomas Smith, Jr.

Posted: 01/07/2008 Print This

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=24304&s=rcme

With the exception of Al Qaeda, no terrorist organization on earth is responsible for the deaths of more Americans than Hizballah: The group that drew first blood during its formative years when in 1983 one of its suicide bombers drove a truck packed with explosives into the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 Americans.

Unlike Al Qaeda, however, Hizballah is more than simply a terror network or a loose confederation of terrorist cells: Hizballah is a state-funded terrorist army with a sophisticated propaganda arm and operational teams deployed worldwide. Not surprisingly, Hizballah is on the U.S. State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Yet some Western media — even a few American politicians — have openly defended Hizballah (as well as its parent company, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) as a legitimate force and political movement.

Last November, during a presidential campaign speech, Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) said:

“In order to declare the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization — something we’ve never done before for a government-run militia — [Pres.] Bush was supported by the Senate. Many in our party opposed this vote, like Senator Dodd and Senator Biden, and I applaud them for that.”
Two months earlier in an interview on Hezbollah-owned Al Manar TV, former Sen. James Abourezk (D.-SD), long-time compatriot of former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D.-SD), said:

“I actually marveled at the Hizballah resistance to Israel [during the 2006 war], … It was a marvel of organization, of courage and bravery. I thought it was quite something. … The Lebanese army should ask Hizballah to come and organize it, to train them, you know. And all the Arab armies should have the Hizballah come and do that.”

Hizballah (in Arabic, “Party of God”) is a Shiia military force based in Lebanon; trained, equipped, and heavily financed by Iran, specifically the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; and backed by Syria.

Born as of means of expanding Iran’s Islamic Revolution throughout the Middle East, Hizballah developed over the course of the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990) into an armed force and global terrorist enabler with tremendous political and media influence in Lebanon.

Hezballah calls itself a “resistance [against Israel]” — not a “militia” — which is nothing more than semantics. — Hizballah’s wordplay is a means by which it continues to exist — as an armed entity in defiance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1559 and 1701, which call for the disarming of all “militias” in Lebanon. In truth, Hizballah is neither resistance nor militia: it is a standing army with a growing base of operations and an expanding arsenal that includes military grade missiles, anti-aircraft and anti-armor weapons, all manner of small arms and explosives, even unmanned aerial vehicles for battlefield reconnaissance.

Hizballah also “relies” upon its corps of assassins, which its leaders deny, and suicide bombers, which they admit. “The weapon of martyrdom is the main and pivotal weapon on which we can rely,” writes Hizballah’s deputy secretary general Naim Qassem in “Hizballah: The Story from Within.”

These terrorists operate freely throughout much of Lebanon, beyond the authority of the legitimate army and police. And as more than one shoulder-shrugging Lebanese Army general (many still deferring to Damascus) has told me: “Hizballah was here first.”

Hizballah is also first in terms of violence. And that violence — actual and threatened — has factored heavily into the Lebanese parliament’s inability to elect a president over the past several months. Armed to the teeth, Hizballah maintains absolute control over a multi-block suburb of Beirut. They are actively training in the Bekaa Valley. They recently conducted military maneuvers in south Lebanon — ignoring a UN “peacekeeping” force — on ground where they fought a tough summer war with Israel in 2006.

Their expressed goal is nothing less than the destruction of Israel, the United States, and the West. “Our motto which we are not afraid to repeat year after year is ‘Death to America,’” said Hizballah’s secretary general Hassan Nasrallah in a 2005 speech.

Hizballah also has global reach, and dozens of Hizballah cells have been uncovered since 9/11 inside U.S. cities like Charlotte (N.C.), Detroit, and Los Angeles.

Like any effective wartime army, Hizballah has learned the importance of an ongoing disinformation campaign. In Lebanon, Hizballah is heavily involved in telecommunications, including control of at least one major telephone hub in Beirut which international calls pass through. Hizballah controls much of the media — print and broadcast — and they have infiltrated newsrooms, manipulated previously objective editorial desks, and bought Western correspondents based in that country. In fact, Hizballah’s media agents often marginally criticize Hizballah as a means of making themselves appear legitimate: “Trying to wash their faces,” as some Lebanese say.

Hizballah is at war with us. Lebanon is their base. As such, the country is a critical front in the war on terror. I’m not advocating a U.S. invasion of Lebanon, but neither can we afford to put our heads in the sand and hope Hizballah will dissipate. Hizballah is perhaps the world’s largest globally deployed terrorist army. Hizballah is powerful, sophisticated, committed, and growing. They are violent, deceiving us in the media, and their operators are already in the Americas.

(Radical) Muslims war on Spain

'Jihad recruiters' held in Spain

Monday, 28 May 2007, 08:38 GMT 09:38 UK

Spanish police have arrested 14 suspected Islamist
militants, mostly in the north-eastern region of Catalonia. The suspects were allegedly involved in recruiting jihadi volunteers for training in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Police in Catalonia detained 11 in Barcelona and other
towns. The others were arrested in Madrid and Malaga.
The interior ministry believes the majority of those arrested
are Moroccan nationals. Police have confiscated a
considerable amount of computer data.
Twenty-nine suspected Islamists - most of them
Moroccans - are currently on trial for the deadly Madrid
train bombings in 2004 which killed 191 people and injured
more than 1,700.

NEWS FEATURE: Alarm in Spain over al-Qaeda call for
its "reconquest"By Sinikka Tarvainen, dpaEds: epa photos available
Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 13:11Subject: /Spain-Terrorism/
Madrid (dpa) - The emergence of a new al-Qaeda-linked
organization in Northern Africa is alarming Spain, which is
concerned about Islamists' calls for the reconquest of the
country they regard as a lost part of the Muslim world. "We will not be in peace until we set our foot again in our beloved al-Andalus," al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb said
on claiming responsibility for an attack which killed at
least 24 people in Algiers on Wednesday.
Al-Andalus is the Moorish name for Spain, parts of which
were ruled by Muslims for about eight centuries until the
last Moorish bastion, Granada, succumbed to the
Christian Reconquest in 1492.

The terrorists will undoubtedly attempt to extend their
offensive from Northern Africa to European soil, anti-
terrorism judge Baltasar Garzon warned, cautioning that
Spain was at a "very high risk" of suffering an Islamist
attack.
The reference to al-Andalus was not the first by al-Qaeda,
which has also vowed to put an end to the Spanish
"occupation" of the enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla on the
Moroccan coast.

Such announcements worry the security services in
Spain, where 29 mainly Moroccan suspects are on trial for
the 2004 Madrid train bombings that killed 191 and injured
about 1,800 people.
The bombings were mainly a reaction to the war alliance
of Spain's former conservative government with the United
States in Iraq, but some of the terrorists are also known to
have dreamed of reconquering al-Andalus.
The bloodbath in Algiers could launch a new string of
attacks in Northern Africa and Europe, including Spain,
terrorism expert Fernando Reinares warned.
Al-Qaeda is extending its activities in Northern Africa,
where the Algiers bombings were preceded by the
suicides of three Moroccan Islamists who blew
themselves up to avoid being captured by police on
Tuesday.

The Algerian-based al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb,
formerly known as the Salafist Group for Preaching and
Combat (GSPC), intends to federate North African Islamist
cells under a common umbrella.
Some of the people who could attack Spain may already
be in the country, where nearly 80 per cent of prison
inmates jailed on charges related to international terrorism
have come from Northern Africa over the past five years.
Islamist radicals proselytize at an estimated 10 per cent
of Spain's hundreds of unofficial mosques, which operate
in garages, basements and the like.
Spain has become an important base for the recruitment
of suicide bombers who are sent to Iraq, according to
press reports. Some of the fighters are believed to be
trained in new al-Qaeda camps in Sahel countries such as
Mali, Niger or Mauritania.

The Madrid train bombings appear to have been organized
by a home- grown Islamist cell with the backing of the
Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group (GICM).
Ceuta and Melilla, which have sizeable Muslim
populations, could well be the next targets, judge Garzon
warned.

Bank and Gaza are asked to liberate; now they are asked
to liberate Seville.
The HAMAS children’s magazine, Al-
Fateh, in a recent issue, (No. 66), tells the children about
the city called Asbilia (Seville) and calls on them to free it,
together with the whole country, from the infidels and to
reinstate Muslim rule.

A Fatwa in Spain

By Aaron Hanscom FrontPageMagazine.com 9/4/2006

Police protection and armored cars have been regular
features in Gustavo de Arístegui’s life for the past decade.
This is because the author and Foreign Affairs
Spokesman for Spain’s conservative Partido Popular has
devoted a large part of his 25 year career denouncing
radical Islam. After the publication of Arístegui’s latest
book The Jihad in Spain: The obsession to reconquer Al-
Ándalus, Yusuf Fernandez, the spokesman for the
Spanish Federation of Islamic Religious Entities, branded
him an “enemy of Islam.” Then last week came the
discovery of death threats against the Spanish politician
on encrypted Jihadist websites based in Saudi Arabia. I
spoke with Mr. Arístegui by phone on Monday about the
threats facing his country and himself.
Q: Why are radical Islamists obsessed with reconquering
Spain and why should this obsession be a concern for all
Westerners?

A: It’s very much about the objectives and goals that they
have and that to a large extent the West has not
understood. They want to: A) Overthrow governments that
they consider anti-Islamic, corrupt, and above all apostate.
Therefore, in considering governments and regimes
apostate they are entitled, even obliged, to overthrow them
and destroy their leaders. B) Reconquer any kind of
country or territory that has at any time in its history been
under the domain of Islam. C) Reestablish the caliphate.
D) Extend their domain and power over the whole world.
So, yes, the symbolism of Spain is extremely important to
them. Spain was under the domain of Islam for 800 years.
It’s not just Andalucía as some people say. It is almost
all of Spain. And if we are to consider the whole of
Europe, then it would be 4/5 of the Iberian Peninsula,
some parts of the South of France, half of Italy, all the
Balkans, and definitely all the islands of the
Mediterranean. We are facing a very serious threat.
To understand the risks that we face, we’ve got to read
what our enemies have to say about us. Ayman al-
Zawahiri said in his book Knights Under the Banner of the
Prophet that Europe had become a spiritual vacuum that
only Islam could fill and that Europe is the new frontier of
Islam, the new land of conquest, and above all the new
battleground of the global jihad. Europe is the weakest
link in the chain because it has 27 million Muslims of
which some have a certain degree of sympathy for radical
ideas. Therefore, they think that when Europe actually
becomes a continent with a very important Muslim
minority, it will be a very easy target and its land very
easy to conquer.

Q: Describe what you call the “síndrome andalusí” or the
obsession for lost glory. Who is guilty of perpetuating the
myth of Al-Ándalus?
A: Many people, not only Muslim scholars. Romantic
scholars were guilty of perpetuating the myth. Just take a
look at the 19th century novelists and intellectuals who
were obsessed with medieval times. (An example is Sir
Walter Scott and his famous novel Ivanhoe.) That had an
exact equivalent among the Muslim scholars and
intellectuals who were Romantic. They had an obsession
with medieval Spain and the importance that Al-Ándalus
had as the highlight of their civilization.
Western intellectuals have also had a grave responsibility
in perpetuating this myth. Some books like The
Ornament of the World, which is very well-known in the
United States and has been awarded and praised, are
completely false. It is not true that medieval Spain was a
perfect and peaceful coexistence between the three most
important monotheistic religions. Muslims only tolerated
Jews and Christians when they were very powerful and not
so much when they were not so powerful. It had a lot to
do with the political and historical moment. They myth of
Al-Ándalus is a very dangerous myth because people tend
to think that everyone else was responsible for the lost
glory of Al-Ándalus. They believe that Spaniards who
were not Muslims or those who had been Muslim in the
past and converted to other religions such as Christianity
are to blame for the loss of that glory and the preeminence
that they had historically until the 15th century. It is
extremely dangerous because self-criticism does not exist
in a large part of the Muslim world. They believe that
everybody else is to blame for the tragedies that they
suffered, and one of those is definitely the loss of Al-
Ándalus.
People tend to forget what Osama bin Laden and Ayman
al-Zawahiri say. There are a great deal of communiqués of
Al-Qaeda signed by these two individuals which clearly
state that the loss of Al-Ándalus was a tragedy. Zawahiri
recently said that Islamic land had to be reconquered from
“Al-Ándalus to Iraq.” This is a very serious threat that not
only Spain and Europe, but all serious, advanced, and
modern democracies should take very seriously.

Q: Please tell us about the buying of land and houses and
the controlling of neighborhoods and cities as a way of
regaining Spain. Why is the resilamification of the
mosque of Córdoba so important to ultra-conservative
Muslims?
A: They call it the policy of the “foot in the threshold.”
Once the foot is in the threshold, they think they will be
able to get in there and reconquer Spain. I state in The
Jihad in Spain that there is a part of the University of Al-
Azhar in Egypt that is obsessed with a very clear strategy
to reconquer land that was once under the domain of
Islam. But this is becoming more and more popular in
many parts of the Islamic world. They believe that
conquering a neighborhood, then a town, then a city, then
a province, and then a region will eventually lead to the
reconquest of the whole country.
Recently, there was a research program carried out by the
Spanish television channel Telecinco. One of the
reporters questioned many Muslims off camera. They
said that because they had been able to conquer Albaicín
(a very important and prominent neighborhood in Granada)
they would absolutely be able to conquer the city and then
all of Al-Ándalus. As the expression goes: Andalucía
first, Al-Ándalus thereafter.
I want to quote Joschka Fischer, the German foreign
minister from 1998 to 2005 and member of the Green
Party. He said that if by any chance Israel were to be fall
and be defeated, the next in line would definitely be Spain.

Q: How have multiculturalism and political correctness
allowed the penetration of radical Islam into Spain and
lowered the country’s defenses?
A: Multiculturalism and political correctness are the most
tried systems for coexistence in Europe and they both
have failed miserably. Multiculturalism is in many ways a
return to the Middle Ages. It means in fact that whoever is
a Christian, a Jew, or a Muslim is going to be ruled by
laws and courts of justice that are either Christian, Jewish
or Muslim. This is preposterous. It is very much like the
communities in which the Ottoman Empire was divided up
into.
The Western Left has chosen to see radical Islamism as
the only enemy capable of confronting the West, the
United States, and its allies. They truly believe that it is in
many ways their ally. If you are to observe the way that
Venezuela, Bolivia and other countries dominated by
populist regimes have acted, you will see that they vote
consistently with countries like Iran or Syria, which are
very anti-Western.
Political correctness and the obsession of the Left with
radical Islamism are deactivating the self-defense
capabilities of Western democracies. By not denouncing
radicals and the movements that are clearly linked to
radical associations, institutions, and even terrorist
organizations, the West is getting closer to being
dominated by them.

Q: How has the Left in Spain responded to the recent
death threats made against you?
A: The radical Left has joined forces with radical Islamists
against me. When they saw the popular and
overwhelming reaction of so many people in Spain
supporting me—even from the moderate Left, they thought
things had gotten out of hand. As a result, they decided
to discredit me and the reality of these threats that have
been confirmed by the Spanish Ministry of the Interior.
The Minister of the Interior called to tell me that the
Spanish Police Intelligence has found these threats which
are on several Jihadist websites that are encrypted and
based in Saudi Arabia. Their message is clear: I need to
be killed. The Spanish Minister of Defense, who was the
Interior Minister for two years, also called me to show his
solidarity and support.
I deplore the very fact that these extremists from the far
Left in Spain have decided to join forces with those that
attack democracy, because no matter how deep our
differences may be we are supposed to be on the same
side.

Q: Do you think there is a chance that radical Islamists
will one day achieve their dream and Spain will once again
be under Islamic rule?
A: I don’t think so, but the fight will become more difficult
and extensive because Spanish society today is not
willing or ready to accept the threat we face. People here
have become prosperous in a very short time. Spain is
the eighth most prosperous nation in the world. We have
a per capita income of around $28,000 a year. People
want to pay their mortgages, go out on Friday night, take
15 to 30 days off a year from work, buy nice cars, and
generally enjoy the good life. They are not listening to
those of us who are in some ways apocalyptic. But it is
our job.

I’m not going to compare myself to Churchill; it would be
extremely preposterous if I ever did. But in many ways I
do feel that some of the intellectuals and politicians who
are denouncing this century’s threats against democracy
are facing the same criticisms that Churchill once faced
before the Nazi threat was evident to the whole world.
While some people are quite aware of the huge danger
that Islamism represents for a large part of the world, they
don’t believe it is capable of jeapordizing their way of life or
their liberties and freedoms in the 21st century. In fact,
this is very much the case.

What is "Islamo-fascism"?

What is "Islamo-fascism"?

Jul 20, 2007
Bahman Aghai Diba - Persian Journal
Islamo-fascism is a new name but the concept has a long history. It is clearly a combination between the ways of looking at Islam, with the policies of the fascist regimes of the twentieth century in Europe.

(1) Although there are serious discussions about the exact meaning and extent of fascism

(2), and the roots of the term

(3) most of the sources agree that some characteristics are common in all fascist regimes such as:

1- Love of war and the acute need of the foreign enemies that can be accused of all shortcomings

2- Military rule.

3- Lack of tolerance and respect to other ideologies

4- Disrespect of human rights

5- Authoritarian or totalitarian regime6- Demagogic tactics to rally the support of people7- Using zealots and paid lackeys for putting pressure and even elimination of opponents.8- Feeling of having a divine mission9- The arrogance of believing in the superiority of one particular ideology (their own) over all others. We can find all of these characteristics in the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran:

1- Love of war: There is no limit in fighting against the infidels in the ideology of the ruling regime in Iran. There is no distinction between the military and civilian population. Every person of the un-Islamic world is enemy.
The people are divided to those of us and those of the others. The Muslims that do not cooperate with the regime of Iran are from the others. Mullah Khomeini, the so-called founder of the Islamic republic in Iran, always called the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988) that resulted in killing of millions of people in Iran and Iraq and devastation of the two countries a God given blessing. The administration of Iran under the presidency of Ahmadinejad, claims to revive the legacy of Mullah Khomeini and for the same reason they are very interested to start same kind of war in the region.

2- Military rule. The regime of Iran has been heavily relying on the military elements who are indoctrinated by the ruling Mullahs. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards used to have many sensitive posts in Iran and in the last two year or so (especially since the administration of Ahmadinejad was installed in Iran by the rigged elections), they have taken many civilian posts.

3- Lack of tolerance and respect to other ideologies- the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been promoting the religious intolerance. The freedom of expression for all groups has been violated and the mass media are under the strict control of the regime. Under the new administration in Iran the extent of intolerance towards all religious and non-religious groups are increased.

4- Disrespect of human rights- The principles of the Human Rights as mentioned in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention on the Civil and Political; and the Convention on the Social and Economic Rights are all considered as tools of expansion of the Western cultures and they are rejected as such. Killing of the violators of the Islamic rules is permitted by God. The women are not equal with men. Democracy is void. The population of the states, even in the Islamic states is not entitled to decide about their fate. The religious leaders decide what is good for the people. Arts, educational institutions, cultural activities, music, literature, painting, sculpturing, and so on must only are in the service of the Islamic tenets as defined by the religious authorities. There is no freedom of assembly, press and expression, the people rally in the streets when the officials say so and they demand whatever the religious leaders have defined. Religious and other minorities are not supported and there is clear contradiction between Islam and the universal standards of the human rights. Almost all 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights are seriously violated by the Islamic Regime of Iran. The most important cases are: the violation of women's rights (the regime of Iran is not ready to accept the equality of men and women and as such it has refused to adhere to the UN International Convention of the Elimination of all kind of Discrimination against women), violation of the fundamental freedoms for the minorities in Iran (including the Baha'is), violation of the fundamental freedoms of the Iranian people, mistreatment of the political prisoners, and denying the rule of law.

5- Authoritarian or totalitarian regime- the regime of Iran is openly enemy of democracy. The Mullahs of Iran have made it clear time and again that they do not believe in the role of people in determining their own destiny. Ayatollah Khazali, a prominent member of the Iranian Constitutional Assembly (called Majles Khobreghan or Council of Islamic Experts) has said: "...what is the meaning of the people's demands? Who are the people to demand something? The people should only implement the rules of Allah."

(4) Also, Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, the Head of Imam Khomeini's Educational and Research Institute, has said: "...the legitimacy of the Supreme Leader comes from the infallible Imams, not from the people."

(5) Khomeni had said: "...do not listen to those who speak about democracy. These are enemies of Islam. Anyone who wants a republic is our enemy…did you create this revolution to become like Swiss? We break the poisonous pens of those who talk about nationalism, democracy and similar things..." Also, Dr. Ali Shariati, the great demagogue and fabricator of the Islamic hallucinations, and at the same time, the biggest ideological backbone of the Islamic revolution in Iran has said: "leadership can't be the result of common people's votes. It can't come out of the corrupt masses of the people. Imam is the directly responsible for the policy of the society and he has direct leadership in economy, army, culture, foreign and domestic policies..." He adds in another source (Shiitism, a comprehensive party) : "It is necessary to have blind obedience. This is the real meaning of emulation in Shiitism. The same applies to the deputy of the Imam...a person that does not know his Imam, is like a sheep that has lost its Shepard."

6- Demagogic tactics to rally the support of people- the street demonstrations have become the standard method of the Iranian Islamic regime to show the will and demands of the people. However, it is clear that no rally or demonstration is held in Iran unless all of its arrangements (including the slogans and the resolutions) are defined by the government. The staged demonstrations are manned by the groups that get special privileges from the regime and in many cases the demonstrators do not know the subject of demonstration before they get to the pre-determined places.

7- Using zealots and paid lackeys for putting pressure and even elimination of opponents- the zealots that are trained to attack the opponents are an active part of the governmental apparatus of the Islamic regime in Iran. The religious thugs attack the gathering of the people, enter the houses and places of business and bother the people. They attack the speakers in the places that are not approved by the regime and the women that have not observed the Islamic code of dress. 8- Feeling of having a divine mission- it is one of the most important features of the Islamic regime in Iran that it thinks it has a divine mission to change the world order. The followers of the Hidden Imam in Iran think that he is going to appear and conquer the whole world and they should make themselves ready for the war in the army of the Hidden Imam

(6) The regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that it has a divine mission to fight the Western culture and impose policies that it considers to be Islamic.9- The arrogance of believing in the superiority of one particular ideology (their own) over all others- the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran believes in the supremacy of the version of Islam practiced by the Iranian Mullahs as the best arrangement for the whole world. For the same reason, Ahmadinejad had asked President Bush to have a free televised discussion with him about which system (the Western liberalism or the Islamic regime as practiced in Iran) was good to be the world order.

(7) The regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that the Western way of life is corrupt. The regime of Iran is seriously thinking that the Western democracies are going to fall, as the USSR fell, and one of these days the Islamic regime will get a chance to introduce its role in the global level. It does not believe in validity of any arrangement with the "Western" infidels and all of the agreements with the West are temporary and subject to abrogation as soon as the Islamic power gets the possibility to do so. For the same reason they want to get nuclear weapons.
A look at the regime of Iran reveals that all of these elements are clearly present in those government and politics of the present regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran and it very much deserves to be included under the title of Islamofacist regimes.

(1) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamofascism It is mentioned in this source that: "Islamofascism is neologism and political epithet used to induce an association of the ideological or operational characteristics of certain modern Islamist movements with European fascist movements of the early 20th century, neo-fascist movements, or totalitarianism. Organizations that have been labeled "Islamofascist" include Al-Qaeda, the current government of Iran, the Taliban, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Hezbollah..."

(2) http://www.remember.org/his.root.what.html, dated 27 Sept. 1992. In this source, Chip Berlet describes: "...fascism and Nazism as ideologies, involve, to varying degrees, some of the following hallmarks:

1- Nationalism and super-patriotism with a sense of historic mission.

2- Aggressive militarism even to the extent of glorifying war as good for the national or individual spirit.

3- Use of violence or threats of violence to impose views on others (fascism and Nazism both employed street violence and state violence at different moments in their development).

4- Authoritarian reliance on a leader or elite not constitutionally responsible to an electorate.

5- Cult of personality around charismatic leader.

6- Reaction against the values of modernism, usually with emotional attacks against both liberalism and communism.

7- Exhortations for the homogeneous masses of common folk...8- Dehumanization and scapegoating of the enemy...

9-the self image of being superior form of social organization beyond socialism, capitalism, and democracy..."

(3)http://www.opinionjournal.com/forms/printThis.html?id=1100008822, dated 20 August 2006. in this source, Roger Scruton has mentioned: "...the term Islamofascism was in introduced by the French writer Maxine Rodinson (1915-2004) to describe the Iranian revolution of 1978….the word has therefore caught on, not least because it provides a convenient way of announcing that you are not against Islam, but only against its perversion by the terrorists...."

ISRAEL VS UN'S ANTI-ISRAEL BIAS
Israel should have [a long time ago] press the UN for:
1) Condemming Arab Muslim 'Palestinian' parents, teachers, leaders, Mullahs, for using Arab kids as human shields and as human bombs, clarifying the real culprits in Arabs' deaths.
2) Violations by ILLEGAL PA Arabs "settlers" on Israel's "agreed" borders by the UN.
3) "Palestinian" Violation of virtually ALL agreemants pacts with Israel (Oslo, Camp David, etc.).
4) The PA official media & education = hate (crimes) campaign on "the joos", (not just on Israel...).
5) Exposing the constant intimdation on nations by the GOLIATH ARAB MUSLIM (oil) block, to tarnish innocent Israel in the UN.

________

TO THE ARAB MUSLIM ANTI-ISRAEL PROPAGANDIST:

1) Are you denying that the Arab racist attacks on Jews in Israel/"palestine" has started since 1838 (Safed) [so were the attacks in 1883, 1920, 1921, 1929 - Hebron, etc.]?

2) Had Israel be a (mostly) Arab-Muslim State, would the intolerant Arab-Muslim Goliath world not accept them?

3) Why is there a complete silence on the historical fact of Arab immigration late 1800s early 1900s into Israel/"palestine"?

4) What anti-Israel bigotry is stronger, the "Arab racism"; factor? or the 'Islamic-Jihad' factor?

5) 'Moral equivalence' Do you have Arab activists on behalf of Israeli victims, just like you have Jewish, Israeli, Zionists activists for the (so called) 'Palestinian cause' (whatever that is...)?

6) If humane Israel would really go after "unarmed poor palestinians" as the 'Pallwood' propagandists tell us, How many Arabs would have survived Israel's might?

7) Who's more at fault, the Arab Muslim "Palestinians" parents pushing for Shahid-isim, or the indoctrinating Mullahs, Imams in the holy Mosques for using "Palestinian" kids and women as human bombs and as human shields (so they can blame the Zionists when Arab kids die)?

8) What would have happened if Arab Muslim "Palestinians" would have invested as much energy in rebuilding their lives as they do in destroying both nations' lives in fascistic Jihad, total hatred and campaign for GENOCIDE [to "drink the blood of the Jews" or to "push them all to the sea", or to "wipe them off of map"]?

9) Why does "bad" IDF Israeli army announce an area residents' civilians to evacuate before an operation against terrorists?

10) Why did Humane Israel's IDF invented specially low range missiles designed to hit ONLY the [terror] target and minimize collateral damage?

11) When was the last time the "Palestinian" well oil-ed propaganda machine has retracted [or even apologized] for it's usual PALLYWOOD fake images industry?

12) What's the difference between a Christian in Indonesia, Buddhist in Thailand, Christian in Nigeria, in Philippines, Australians in Bali (2002), non Muslims in London (0707/2005), in Madrid (bombing), "not the-right-kind-of-Muslims" in Shiite-Sunni hateful massacres in Iraq, oppression & massacres in the "Islamic Republic of Iran", and Israeli victims of the same "evil ideology"?

13) What's a harder oppression, your "average" Arab Muslim regime's on it's own people, Hamas-tan Islamic Apartheid [which most "Palestinians" supported!] on non Muslims, or the pro-Jihad parents' on their kids?

14) What would have happened if at least ONE Arab Muslim nation [regular or oil-ed one] would really care about the Arab [brothers, that since the 1960's started to call themselves as] "Palestinians" and let them get off the terror slum into normality and even prosperity?

15) What part of 'BLIND FASCISM' do Arab-Muslims deny, the usual obsessed anti Israel demonization [no matter what Israel does] or the reluctance to see Israel's super kind gestures for those that are trying to kill them [releases from prison, giving away own land vital to it's security, humanitarian aid, etc.] not as goodness but as "weakness"?

16) Why is it that when Islamists terrorists [Hamas or Hezbullah, Islamic Jihad, etc.] succeed in making sure Arab kids die [with their known tactics of cowardly firing among or behind children, etc.] the Arabs, Muslims rejoice and the Israelis, Jews are saddened ?

16) How can land be an issue [or the blatant lies the Arab lobby's financed: Jimmy Carter has said, though he admitted that Israel is a great equal democracy for all, Arabs and Jews alike!'] if "moderate" Palestinian official government still has venomous hatred and pro 'death cult' in it's regular curriculum and on it's official TV, or that such "moderate" Arab media outlets [like Al Jazeera] still glorify mass murder as "martyrdom"?

17) Who's more powerful, the Arab Muslim Goliath Oil mafia "lobby" on the world or a Chinese, Italian, Israeli, Irish, pharmaceutical, cigarettes lobbyists in Washington?

18) Had the International Arab Muslim lobby of nations in the UN [or the EU] not threatened other nations to bash Israel 24/7 [motivated by intolerance only!], What would be then the outcome?

_____

Let's make it clear, even if there will be a "Palestine" state, it will never change the factual history, that a group of foreign Arab immigrants came into the (historic) land of the Jews (and started to call themselves as "Palestinians" in the 1960's) and hijacked the world comunity via terrorism and Arab oil power to give them yet a second 'Palestine' state (after Jordan).
