EU Referendum (via
PJM) accuses Sweden of being "precious" in announcing its withdrawal from European military exercises due to be held next month in Italy because of Israel's participation, but I think it's a bit more than that. The Scandinavian country has a "mixed record" these days where the Jewish state is concerned. Of course, as EU Referendum points out, the Swedes seem quite willing to make deals with the Israelis when it comes to buying military equipment. But, as we know, "balance" must be maintained between the parties in the peace process. In that case, perhaps they would like to make a donation to fill this short fall.
